CULLEY, John L., 65, of Wheeling passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh surrounded by family members.
He was born May 12, 1947 in Wheeling, the son of Betty Culley and the late Lloyd R. Culley.
He was a Vietnam Army veteran and received a Purple Heart. He was retired from Weirton Steel, and a retired United Methodist minister. John was a member of the Scottish Rite in Wheeling, the Harley Davidson Hog Club, and the Veteran Center in Bethlehem.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his three daughters, Tracey Lusk (Dave) of Moundsville, Na- Yung Culley of Charleston, and Briony Poe (Kevin) of Morgantown; a brother, George Culley (Sue) of Wheeling; a sister, Linda Hostutler of Wheeling; three granddaughters; three nephews; a special uncle, Neil Lough; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Warwood, (304-277-2722) with Pastor Jody Carroll officiating.
