George and Renee Niggemyer of Zanesville, formerly of Wheeling, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Aug. 25.
They were united in marriage Aug. 25, 1962 at St. Joseph's Cathedral, Wheeling, by the late Most Rev. Bernard Schmitt.
They have two children. The family includes Lisa Trainor and her husband, Mark, of western Pennsylvania and Brian and his wife, Tiffany, of Zanesville. They have five grandchildren.
