BROWN, William A. "Bill," Sr., 82, of Moundsville, WV, died Thursday, September 30, 2012 in Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville.
He was born August 30, 1930 in Moundsville, the son of the late George H. and Clara R. Halsey Brown.
He was a retired crane operator from Blaw-Knox; and a Christian by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Webster, Willard, and Donald Brown; and a sister, Wilma Metz.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Virginia McIlvain Brown; five sons, William A., Jr. (Bonnie) Brown of Moundsville, David S. (Ellen) Brown of Roberts Ridge, Richard W. (Debbie) Brown of Limestone, Frederick G. Brown, and Terry K. (Sherry) Brown, all of Moundsville; a sister, Doris Holmes of Moundsville; 10 grand children; 11 great-grand-children; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Saturday 10 a.m. with Evangelist D. Gene West officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
