WORKMAN, Mary Lou Gorby, age 79, of Moundsville, WV, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at home.
She was born October 4, 1932, in Glen Easton, WV, the daughter of the late Samuel Vincent and Iva Pearl Grimm Gorby.
She was a member of Ash Avenue Church of God; Quilters; and WCG.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Robert "Bob" Workman Sr.; five sisters, Sarah Thomas, Virginia Kupski, Mildred Crow, Clara Holmes, and Roseman Riggs; and a brother, Arvil Gorby.
Survivors include two sons, Bob (MaryAnn) Workman of Moundsville, and John Workman of Mt. Olive, WV; two daughters, Rhonda (Cecil) Carmichael of Florida, and Sherry (Riley) Van Scyoc of Moundsville; two brothers, Virgil Gorby of Iowa, and Beryl Gorby of Mounds-ville; two sisters, Viola Furbee and Shirley Starkey, both of Moundsville; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ash Avenue Church of God, Moundsville with Rev. Jeff Hancock officiating.
Interment in Salem Cemetery, Glen Easton.
