Boil Order for Portions of Grandview Street, Mount Wood Road

October 4, 2012
The Intelligencer / Wheeling News-Register

WHEELING - Portions of Wheeling are under a boil order until further notice due to a water line break on Grandview Street, city officials said.

The boil order is in effect from the intersection of Serig Drive and Grandview Street to the intersection of National Road and Stone Boulevard; and on Mount Wood Road from its intersection with National Road to 99 Mount Wood Road.

Water customers in this area should not drink city water without first boiling it for at least one minute. Only bottled or boiled water should also be used for making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing and food preparation.

The water department anticipates resolving the problem by 4 p.m. today, but said residents should allow at least 24 hours for bacteria testing to take place.
