STARKEY, James "Jim," 83, of 7th St., Moundsville, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1929 in Pine Grove, WV, the son of the late David and Myrtle Dulaney Starkey.
He worked for AAA Trailer Sales and Service in New Martinsville; was a retired meat cutter; U.S. Air Force veteran; and a member of Ash Ave. Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Myrtle Blake Starkey, and a brother, Donley Starkey.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Shirley Gorby Starkey; two sons, Dale (Jean) Starkey of IL, Chris (Eva) Starkey of TN; two brothers, Robert (Dollie) Starkey of Weirton, WV, Wilson (Joyce) Starkey of NC; three sisters, Mary (John) Titus, Ruth (Gary) Glascock, Charlotte (Joe) Wyatt, all of Pine Grove; a sister-in-law, Patsy Starkey of Proctor; two granddaughters, Melanie Starkey of IL, Jenna Starkey of TN; five step-children; an aunt, Mary Jane Renner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Hancock officiating.
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard.
