BYESVILLE - Amanda Haslam had 22 points and three aces and Cameron Brock scored 17 points, with three aces, as Monroe Central opened tournament play with a victory against PVC rival Buckeye Trail.
The Seminoles advance to face St. Clairsville at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Melanie Stimpert added eight points and four aces for Monroe Central.
Lynsey Beros and Josie Hensley both scored 12 points for the Warriors.
