SEAMON, Ruth Ellen Gilbert, 72, of Wheeling passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, October 17, 2012.
She was born May 7, 1940, in Wheeling, daughter of the late Bernard Clyde and Ethel Mae McIllwain Gilbert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Harry and Della Gilbert; her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Anna Heath; and two great-aunts, Maude Shively and Effie Rauscher.
She is survived by two sons, Marc Seamon and his wife, Kristen, of Wheeling, and Jeff Seamon and his wife, Holly, of Wheeling, and their father, Walter Seamon; three grandchildren, Christopher, Brighton, and Carellen Mae Seamon; two sisters, Susan Petran of Virginia Beach, VA and Judy Hemmert of NC; two nephews, Charles "Chuck" Petran and his wife, Jiyeon, and Bill Hemmert; two nieces, Deborah Hemmert and her son, Michael, and Rebecca Hemmert Crook; a great-niece, Susan Petran.
Friends will be received Friday, October 19, 2012, from 4-7 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Rd., Wheeling (304-232-327). A service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Lawrencefield Parish Church, on Table Rock Lane, with a luncheon immediately following the service.
