CARDULLO, Patrick J., passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling.
Mr. Cardullo was born December 1, 1923, in Wheeling, to the late Theresa Cardullo Bonaventura and Oliver Cardullo.
He married Gertrude Zaleski on September 4, 1943. Gertrude preceded him in death in 2009.
Patrick is survived by a son, Joseph P. Cardullo, of Wheeling, and a daughter, Karen Grogg, of Winona, Minnesota. He has seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren surviving him. Also surviving are close friends Harry Buch and family; a sister, Lucille Renowicz of Wheeling.
Mr. Cardullo was employed and later owned Schodder Manufacturing Company. He was past president of the Italian Club, Grand Knight for a number of years of the Knights of Columbus, Council 504. He was a member of the Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Michael's and a long time usher. He was active at St. Anthony's, St. Michael's and the Cathedral.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sisters, Rose Principe, and Viola George, and a son-in-law, Russell Grogg.
Pat will be missed by all who loved and knew him. He was always quick with a snappy reply for everyone. He adored his grandchildren and great-grand children. Love you, Papadullo.
The family is requesting any Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling (304-232-2732). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church Wheeling with Monsignor Kevin M Quirk as celebrant. Committal service will be held at the convenience of the family at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
