STEWART, Ruth D., 79, of New Cumberland, WV passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at her residence.
She was born April 3, 1933 in Indian Creek, WV a daughter of the late Carl and Etta (Jones) Summers. She is also preceded in death by her husband Gerald L. Stewart, a grandson Shawn McAbee and a great grandson Kyle McAbee.
Ruth was a retired bookkeeper from Bank One in Toronto, OH and was a member of Kings Creek Union Chapel.
Surviving are her children Viola (Chris) Cochrane,New Cumberland, WV, Kay (Terry) Gajtka, Weirton, WV, William (Donna) Cronin, Weirton, WV; seven grandchildren Juanita Gill, Troy McAbee, Terry Gajtka, Caitlin Cronin, Shelby Cronin, Brooke Cronin and Liam Cronin; five great-grandchildren Kaeleen, Autumn, Sierra, Darlene and Garrett; stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home. Services will be there Saturday, October 20,2012 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain George Romage from Valley Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
