ENTWISTLE, Donald R., 75, passed away Thursday at his home with family by his side.
He was born on April 21, 1937 at Faxton-St. Lukes Hospital in Utica, NY, the son of Alfred and Irene Entwistle.
Donald worked as a welder and pipe fitter for over 35 years with Local 73 in Oswego.
Donald lived in the Chittenango area most of his life. In 1976 he moved to Wheeling, West Virginia where he remarried and spent the next 20 years with his wife, Margie Jones Entwistle who passed away on November 20, 1991. About five years later he moved back to the Chittenango area to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
He was a member of the Bridgeport VFW 8440 Men's Auxiliary, Son's of the American Legion Cicero Post 787, Eagles 1891 in West Virginia and the Moose Club.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Beverly Shields, two brothers, James and Al Entwistle, his father, Alfred Entwistle and his mother, Irene Lamaitis.
He is survived by his four children, Donald (Cindy) Entwistle Jr. of Bethlehem, PA., Terry M. Froio (Joe) of Chittenango, NY, Robert W. (Sally) Entwistle of Locke, NY and Laurie A. Coon (Kevin) of Bridgeport, NY, his four grandchildren, Michael W. Entwistle of Locke, Brittany J. Denman of Bridge port, Jennifer Entwistle and Alison Entwistle both of PA., he is also survived by 10 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chittenango.
Calling hours will be 11 am-1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
