For the second night in a row, Artem Demkov opened the scoring, taking a lead pass from Andrew Rowe, before slipping a shot through Scott Darling's legs for a breakaway goal. 5:05 later, the home team extended the advantage, as Louie Caporusso stole the puck in the slot, en route to giving his club a 2-0 lead at the end of one period.
Patrick Killeen replaced Darling between the pipes in the third period.
The Nailers will conclude their four-game road trip in Reading at 4:05 today, before returning home for two games against the Royals on Friday and Saturday.
