The Wheeling Symphony, actor Erik Estrada and fireworks all will play a role when the Ohio Valley Mall hosts its grand re-opening next month.

Events are set for the weekend of Nov. 10, mall officials announced Wednesday.

Property Manager George Diab said the multimillion-dollar renovation of the St. Clairsville is on track to be completed by its Nov. 1 goal, though a few minor details will be finished between then and Nov. 10.

New skylights and carpeting are among the renovations happening this year at the Ohio Valley Mall.

The biggest part of the project still under construction is the refacing of the mall's front entrance, he noted. Work also is under way to complete exterior landscaping and new lighting in the parking lot.

Projects done inside the mall building are easily visible to shoppers. There are four skylights in the ceilings, and most of the floor inside the mall is carpeted.

"Overall, the project went smoothly with little surprises," Diab said.
