KOEHL, Elmer F., Jr., of Triadelphia, WV, died on Friday, November 2, 2012 in the Bishop Joseph H. Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling.

He was born March 3, 1924 in Wheeling the son of the late Elmer F. Koehl, Sr and Roseltha Davies Koehl and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Wheeling.

Elmer was a retired truck driver for J.E. Miller Transfer and Storage, Wheeling; a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion Post 46, a member of the VFW Post 4442, and a life member of the Eagles Aeries No. 344.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ruth McNabb Koehl who died in 1971 and a sister, Lois Tuel.

Surviving are a brother, Thomas Koehl of Warwood; a sister, Shirley Ann Mottle and her husband, Earl of Jacobsburg, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from noon to 3 and 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304 242 2311) where services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Margie Carr officiating.
