Pethtel, Romine Win

Voters in Wetzel, Tyler and Doddridge counties elected to return their members of the West Virginia House of Delegates to Charleston on Tuesday.

In District 5, Democrat incumbent Dave Pethtel defeated two challengers in Mountain Party candidate Raymond Davis and Constitution Party candidate Denzil Sloan. Pethtel collected 4,560 votes, compared to 755 for Davis and 330 for Sloan.

In District 6, Republican incumbent William Roger Romine held off the challenge of Democrat Charlie Delauder. Romine won 3,995 votes, compared to 1,917 votes for Delauder.
