Helen Saboley

SABOLEY, Helen J. Schlatt, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 4, 2012, at Kobacker House in Columbus.

Born in Herrick, OH, April 5, 1916, daughter of the late Peter and Agnes Burkhart Fifer Schlatt.

Helen married Edward Saboley June 29, 1935, and lived in Fairpoint for more then 60 years before moving to Worthington, OH with her daughter, Saundra. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fairpoint and St. Michael's in Worthington. She was a kind, gentle, loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend, who never had an unkind word for anyone. Her family was the center of her world.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed in 1982, granddaughter, Caulette Saboley Cerullo, daughter-in-law, Dorothy Beauchamp Saboley and siblings, Mary Farrington, Barbara Yaneck, Cecilia Biernot, Anna Wargnier, Frank, Michael, Stanley, Marion and Thomas Schlatt.

She is survived by daughters, Saundra Saboley of Worthington and Sharon (Henry) Saboley- Goforth of Katy, TX; sons, Ronald of York, SC and Edward "Terry" Saboley of Lincoln, AL; and brother, John (Mary) Schlatt of Reddington, CA. Also survived by granddaughters, Liesl Bonneau, Monique Kildow; grandsons, Ronald J., Daniel, David, Mark, Edward T., Eric, Andy Saboley, and James Frankovich; great-granddaughters, Keely Jaeger, Jessie, Laura, Phoebe, Hallie, Sommer, Meredith, Gianna Saboley. great- grandsons Andrew Frankovich, Tristan Kildow, Justin, Austin; Andrew, Tyler, Shelby and Eric Saboley; great-great- grandchildren, Chenoa Jaeger, Koda and Aurora Saboley. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Ann Schlatt of Wheeling, Anna Schlatt and Verna Schlatt of St. Clairsville; brother-in-law, Roland Wargnier of Clinton Township, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received Friday, November 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 240 W. Main St., St. Clairsville, OH 43950, where a Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fairpoint with Fr. Thomas Gravin the celebrant.

Interment at Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville.
