MICHETTI, Alphonse, 87, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 15, 2012.
Alphonse retired from Gen Pac in Wellsburg, where he was a shipping supervisor, and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, WV.
He was born in Wellsburg on February 3, 1925, to the late Santarella and Alexander Michetti.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 65 years, Rose Mary Quattrocchi Michetti in 2009. Alphonse was also preceded in death by his son, Paul E. Michetti, granddaughter, Amy Fithen, brothers, Dom, Joe and Felix Michetti and sisters, Mary Campagna and Rose Janoski.
He is survived by three children, JoAnn (Del) Knotts of Reynoldsburg, OH, Shirley (Charles) Fithen of Moundsville, WV and John (Jan) Michetti of Concord, NC, a daughter- in-law, Kaye Michetti of Wintersville, OH. grandchildren include, Robert Sohovich (JoAnna) of New Albany, OH, Jennifer Erwin of Reynoldsburg, OH, Charles Fithen of Moundsville, WV, Blake and Brandon Michetti of Concord, NC and Marco and Stacia Michetti of Wintersville, OH. Alphonse has three great-grandchildren, Libby Erwin, Xavier Sohovich and Sophia Fithen. Alphonse is survived also by his sisters, Annie (Joe) Carissimi, Lucille (William) Bayless of Wellsburg and Mildred Bayless of Follansbee, sisters-in law, Edna Michetti, Ann (Albert) Stasiulewicz, Marg (Matt) Kovarik, and brother-in-law, Robert Quattrocchi.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and again Monday, November 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary service being held at 7 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, WV.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, WV, with Father Dan Pisano as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Brooke Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.
