SMITH-BYUS, Margaret Lea, 78, of Moundsville, W.Va., formally of Matewan, W.Va., peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 29th, at her home.

She was born May 13, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Lula Johnson of Matewan.

She was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate Lloyd G. Smith; five sisters and three brothers; and her second husband, Charles Byus.

She was a retired beautician of 21 years. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Ash Avenue Church of God in Moundsville.

She is survived by her three children: William L. Smith (Nancy); Everett W. Smith (Sue); and Teresa D. Devlin (Pete); nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; four siblings: Estelene Prater; Lula Gallimore (Garland); Joyce Blackburn; and Boyd Eddie Orrell (Fanny Lou); and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Chambers Funeral Home in Matewan, W.Va., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at Mt. View Memory Gardens.
