HERRON, Martha Geneva, 90, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012, with her family by her side.
She was born October 28, 1922 in Elkins, WV, the daughter of Granville Pat and Alice Mae (Vanvander) Hornick and had returned to Ashtabula to live with her daughter, Judy Wolford in 2007 after living in Wheeling, WV, for many years.
Her survivors include eight children, Judy (Delmar) Wolford of Ashtabula, Charles (Sue) Herron of Elkins, WV, twins Doris (Gilbert) Markko of Andover and Don (Sharon) Herron of Kingsville, Elsie (Ray) Starks of Mendon, MI, Betty (Don) Eltringham and Geneva Faye Straub, both of Wheeling, WV, and Roger Herron of Ashtabula; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, Sadie; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Herron on February 1, 2000; two children, Patty Lou Herron and Ronnie Herron; six brothers; six sisters; and her parents.
Calling hours in Ashtabula will be held from 11 a.m. to noon with a service to follow at noon on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula.
In West Virginia, calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon with a service to follow at noon on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the Kepner Funeral HomeBurke Chapel, 2101 Warwoood Avenue, Wheeling, WV.
Burial will be in Short Creek Cemetery, Short Creek, WV.
Rev. Kenneth Roberts, Pastor of Pentecostal Church of God, will officiate at both services.
