SHAW, Dorothy M., age 95, of Waynesburg Pike Rd, Moundsville, WV, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012, at home.

She was born March 18, 1917, in Harriettsville, OH, the daughter of the late Christopher and Emma Ayers Franks.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Elm Grove.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Shaw; a daughter, Barbara A. Plants; and two brothers, Carlos and Lawrence Franks.

Survivors include a son, James W. Shaw of Wichita Falls, TX; two daughters, Kathryn (Harry) Sacco of Wheeling and Janet (Dr. Romeo) Tan of Moundsville; a son-in-law, Gerald Plants of Benwood; 12 grandchildren, Deborah "Debby" (Randy) Whitlatch of Moundsville, Brenda (Clay) Harris of Weirton, James "Jim" W. (Sandra) Shaw, Jr., Jill Dennis, Julie Shaw all of Wichita Falls, TX, Michael Sacco of Wheeling and Portland, OR, Paula (Tom) Bubulya of Dayton, OH, Marc (Ashley) Sacco of Roy, UT, Jeff (Amie) Sacco of Plano, TX, Anne (Aaron) Simmons of Mesquite, TX, Romeo "Romy" and Pastora "Tori" Tan of Moundsville; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Edith Wentworth of Cambridge, OH, Ollie Brooks and Lucy Potts of Canton, OH, Betty Ryan of Chagrin Falls, OH and Ruby Lovejoy of Canton, OH; and several nieces and nephews,

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Jean Gary, Ruth Wellman, Sandy Peaker, and Amedisys Hospice Care, especially Brenda Hager.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 12-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, WV.

Family will also receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 141 Kruger St, Wheeling, WV with Pastor Paul Schafer officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 1251 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003 or St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
