COOK, Jonice Ray, 82, of Ironton, OH, formerly of The Villages, FL, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his residence.

The Wellsburg, WV, native was born October 4, 1930, the son of the late John Bruce Cook Sr. and Ruth Adams Cook.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Treiber Cook, who passed away March 17, 2006.

Mr. Cook was a graduate of Wellsburg High School and served in the United States Navy. He retired from Standard LaFarge and was a member of Community of Christ in Wellsburg, WV. He was also a member of the Masons and Scottish Rite.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jody Sue and Mark Allen DiSantis Jr. of Ironton, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Ray and Mary Traubert Cook of Wellsburg, WV; five grandchildren, Tara Cook Palm-Knight of Bridgeport, OH, Kevin Cook II of Wellsburg, WV, Amy Cook Loomis of Pittsburgh, PA, Mark Allen DiSantis III of Ironton, OH, and Noah Kritz of Shadyside, OH; a brother, John Bruce Cook Jr. of Wellsburg, WV; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, OH, is in charge of the arrangements.
