CAMPBELL, Albert King, 66, resident of Triadelphia, WV, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born July 2, 1946, in Wheeling, the son of the late Albert Floyd and Winnie Brown Campbell.
He was Superintendent of the Water Pollution Control for the City of Wheeling with 42 years of service; currently on the Board of Directors for the Municipal Water Quality Association; a member of the American Water Works Association, the American Public Works Association where he received the President's Award, past president of the Water Environment Association, State of WV Bureau for Public Health as a Class 1 and Class IV Waste Water Operator, ORSANCO, and WVSSSSS. He was also a member of the Lawrencefield Parish Church.
He was devoted to his wife and family, and was an avid Steelers, WVU, and Blues Fest fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Lee Campbell.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Carpenter Campbell; sons, Robert Scott Campbell, David Curtis Campbell, and Brody Eggert; daughters, Michelle L. Campbell Bell (Wesley), Amy Salisbury (Robert), Molly Stevens (Dirk), and Beth Schneider (Dayton); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2722) from noon until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Cynthia Byers Walter officiating.
