J. Francis Buchner

BUCHNER, J. Frances, 94, of New Martinsville, WV, died Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville, WV.

She was born December 25, 1918, in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of the late Jess F. and Elizabeth Lallathin Stillwagoner.

She was a retired seamstress at Mason's Clothiers and a member of the First Church of God, both in New Martinsville. She was president for 20 years for the 4-H Advisory Board, a member of the Women's Democratic Association, former president of Magnolia High School Band Patrons, leader of the Brownies and Girl Scouts, Craft Chairman for 50 years for Town and Country Days and was president of and organized the Wetzel County Saddle Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Buchner, and one brother, Edward F. Stillwagoner.

Survivors include one daughter, Jean (Dave) Rogers of New Martinsville and one grandson, Brian Rogers of New Martinsville.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, WV, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Russ Whitener officiating.

Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.
