Virginia Kostival

KOSTIVAL, Virginia L. Vearnus, 90, resident of Windsor Heights, WV, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.

She was born on January 11, 1923, in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Matusic Vearnus.

Virginia was a homemaker, and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Beech Bottom, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Kostival, Sr., and an infant brother.

Surviving are a son, Michael J. Kostival, Jr.; granddaughters, Melissa J. Tiu and her husband, Jeremy, and Rebecca L. Muehlfeld and her husband, T.J.; great-grandchildren, Blake Muehlfeld, Luke Tiu, and Issac Tiu; sisters, Mary Malinosky, and Betty Ashbrook.

Virginia was an avid fan of Wheeling Central Girls softball, and was an excellent cook.

Friends will be received Friday, January 25, 2013, from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003 with Father John Beckley, S.M. officiating.

Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
