HOWARD, Paul Robert. 59, of Valley Grove, WV, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, following a four month illness.

He was born June 19, 1953, in Washington, a son of the late Arthur W. Howard, Sr. and Lela Bell Camp Howard.

He was a computer manager for McKinley and Associates.

Paul was affiliated with the West Alexander United Methodist Church.

He was a devoted family man. He was a member of the Wildlife League of Ohio County, and enjoyed target shooting, RV-ing and listening to music. He loved time spent on his computer. He was also a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals.

He served peace time in the U.S. Army.

On June 18, 1988, he as married, in the West Alexander United Methodist Church, to Alicia L. Midcap who survives, along with five children, Paul Howard, Jr. of Wheeling, Jennifer (Douglas) Goodwell, of Rhome, TX, Sherri Mae (Thomas J. Donley) Howard of Wheeling, Samantha and Amanda Howard, at home; a brother, Arthur W. "Bill" (Charlotte) Howard, Jr. of Washington; a sister, Margaret (Richard) Slack, of Fairmount City, PA. He was close to several members of his extended family.

Deceased in addition to his parents is an infant sister.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, in the Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, Inc., 420 Locust Ave., Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, Supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, Director, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2013, with Rev. David Stammerjohn officiating. Interment will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
