BISCEGLIA, Sheila Carter, 74, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, February 11, 2013, in Good Shepherd Nursing Home after a four and a half year battle with the effects of cancer treatment.
Sheila was born on April 12, 1939, to the late John and Eileen Burkle Carter.
She was retired from Northwood Health Systems. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish and was an active member of the Our Lady of Seven Dolars Altar Society. She was also a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Bisceglia Jr., and her sister, Ann Carter.
Surviving are her four children, Lisa Jorden and her husband, John, of Wheeling, Michael Bisceglia and his wife, Lori, of Charleston, SC, David Bisceglia and his wife, Beth, of Little Rock, AK, and Amy Kline and her husband, Jon, of Morgantown, WV; nine grandchildren, Brent Jorden, Chelsea Jorden, Austin Bisceglia, Carter Kline, Mia Bisceglia, Brandon Bisceglia, Courtney Kline, Nicholas Bisceglia, and Katheryn Bisceglia; one sister-in-law, Shirley Bisceglia Foose, and her husband, Bob, of Wheeling, and their two daughters, Denise Stevick of Wheeling, and Michele Privott of Mooresville, NC; and one uncle, Stan Burkle of Moundsville, WV.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to personal caregiver and friend, Eloise "El" Janeczko. They would also like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Nursing Home, especially those on 3C, for the tremendous care and love given to Sheila during her final days.
At Sheila's request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gary Naegele as celebrant. Her wishes were that friends gather for a celebration of her life and a final toast, which will be held at the Italian American Club, in Elm Grove, on Thursday from 5-9 p.m.
The family requests that donations be made in Sheila's name to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, 159 Edgington Lane, Wheeling, WV or Our Lady of Seven Dolars Altar Society, 2244 Marshall Ave., Wheeling, WV.
