MORGANTOWN - Kayla Boggs exploded for 28 points as University ended John Marshall's season in the rubber match between the two teams with a 70-47 victory in a girls' West Virginia Class AAA Region One, Section Two semifinal.
The game was tied at 12-12 after one quarter, but the Hawks (18-5) outscored the Monarchs (11-12) 58-35 the rest of the way.
Mariah Callen added 17 points for University, which will face Morgantown for the sectional crown. Shelby Boyle had 11.
Torie Derrow paced John Marshall with 13 points. Morgan Watson scored 11 points.
