John Mysliwiec

MYSLIWIEC, John, 81, of Moundsville, WV, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital.

John was born September 4, 1931, in Moundsville, a son to the late Andrew Sr. and Aniela (Chwajta) Mysliwiec. He was a retired machinist with 35 years of service at Bayer. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Moundsville, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father, Dzia Dzia, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his five sisters, Ann Mysliwiec, Helen Robertson, Sophie Byser, Blanche Kielbasa, and Frances Elston, two brothers, Peter Mysliwiec Sr., and Andrew Mysliwiec Jr., and baby brother, Stephen Mysliwiec.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Janice (Gray) Mysliwiec; two daughters, Jana (David) Robbins of Moundsville, and Beth (Michael) Mysliwiec-Andlinger of Glen Dale, WV; one sister, Stella Richmond of Moundsville; one brother, Stanley (Mildred) Mysliwiec; three grandchildren, Andrew Robbins, Bethani Robbins, and Lydia Andlinger; several nieces and nephews; and his Scottish Terrier, Zoey.

Friends will be received Friday, February 22, 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, where a rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Symeon Galazka as celebrant. Interment will follow at Limestone Cemetery.
