I am over 70 years old. Like many people my age, I have numerous medical problems.
Imagine my dismay at receiving bills from doctors I never heard of for treatments I didn't know I had as much as nine months after a hospital stay.
What kind of accounting system takes nine months to notify a person that he owes money? This reeks of incompetence and hints of fraud.
I understand that medical billing in complex, but this is absurd. If it were uncommon, I'd let it pass, but it seems to be a routine event.
