PARSONS, Frank E., 79, of Moundsville, WV, died Thursday, February 21 2013, at Peterson Rehabilitation Center, Wheeling.
He was born October 13, 1933, in Marshall County, the son of the late Henry T. and Opal Lee Hill Parsons.
Frank was a U.S. Navy veteran, formerly attended the Calvary United Methodist Church of Moundsville, was the owner and operator of Frank Parson's Auto and Ace Insulation and Window Business, former employee of J.C. Penney at the Ohio Valley Mall, avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirates fan and also loved his NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Junior and John Parsons and two sisters, Geraldine Parsons and Betty Tenant.
Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Patricia Cook Parsons of Moundsville; two sons, Daniel (Robin) Parsons of Washington, WV, David (Donna) Parsons of Harrisville, WV; daughter, Franki Parsons Shearer of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Sandra (Robert) Fuller of Moundsville; two brothers, Larry (Kathy) Parsons of Moundsville and Ronnie Parsons of Connecticut and Virginia; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held at the CARE chapel, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Glen Baker Jr. officiating.
