MYERS, III, Charles F., 61, of Martins Ferry, Ohio died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
He was born Dec. 7, 1951 in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late Charles and Mary (McManus) Myers.
He was employed by Jebbia's Fruit Market, Wheeling, W.Va. Charles was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Church, Wheeling. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and called bingo for years at St. Vincent De Paul Church and Wheeling Central Catholic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Kimberly and a brother John Myers.
Surviving are his wife Tammy (Woods) Myers, his children; Charles (Priscilla) Myers, IV, of El Paso, Texas, Karen (Kevin) Myers of Alexander, Va. and Robert Myers of Westwego, La., Mandy and Adam Helt of Martins Ferry, two sisters; Leslie (Charles) Florjanczyk of Wheeling, W.Va. and Lynn (Tom) Hissam of East Liverpool, Ohio, a brother; William Myers of Wheeling, two grandchildren; Ivey and Kayla, and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Friends will be received Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, and Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Marjorie Carr officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or to a charity of the donors choice.
Military honors will be presented by the Belmont County V.F.W. Honor Guard at 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
