ABBOTT, Nancy Lee Wensyel, 82, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born August 13, 1930, in Bridgeport, OH, a daughter of the late Cecil and Thelma Kilgore Wensyel.

Nancy was a Christian by faith and a former server at the Elmhurst House of Friendship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lloyd "Jim" Abbott; brothers Bob and Cecil Wensyel; and sisters Dorothy Williams and Mary Lou Trouten.

Surviving are her children, Beverly Pettit of Wheeling and Charles (Vivian) Baker of Wheeling; brother Jack (Evelyn) Wensyel of Bullhead, AZ; four sisters: Betty Anderson of St. Clairsville, OH, Helen Green of Bridgeport, OH, Myrtle (Chuck) Erbe of Akron, OH, and Gloria "Jeannie" (Kenny) Fowler of Elm Grove, WV; five grandchildren: Chris Capps, Courtney Gaynor, Kristy Baker Schwanker, C.J. Baker and Jaycee Pettit; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 29 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003, where services will be held Saturday, March 30, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Erbe officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
