Members of the Ohio County Republican Executive Committee wholeheartedly support the decision of the board of education to continue funding the library.
As board President James Jorden said,
"It's the right thing to do."
It is the right thing to do because not only does the library offer research and reading materials to school students, it offers meeting rooms and book access to the people of the county.
During the 2012 election various candidates were able to use the library for political forums and meetings.
"Books fall open. You fall in." That quotation is framed in a picture I have here at home. When my sisters and I were young and my family moved to different places around the country, the first thing my father would do was get us a library card.
The library gives the community a sense of knowledge and purpose. It's benefits to the community are immeasureable and it's funding should never be questioned.
