Betty Cunningham

CUNNINGHAM, Betty Jane Powers, 81, of Windsor Heights passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born February 18, 1932 in Cameron, WV. to the late George and Dessie Gilbert Powers.

Aside from being active in her community and several organizations, Betty was best known for her kind heart and her business, Betty Cunningham Catering.

She came to the aid of anyone she knew that needed help. She brought people into her home and made them feel that they were not just a welcome friend, but family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Andrew "Big Andy" C. Cunningham; and her sister, Mary Skidmore.

She was a loving and guiding light to her five children, Andrew G. Cunningham of Steubenville, Douglas Cunningham of Windsor Heights, WV, Hugh Cunningham and his wife, Cindy of Las Vegas, NV., Sharon Cunningham of Windsor Heights, and Valerie Cunningham of Fogelsville, PA. She is also survived by a sister, Charolette White of Roberts Ridge, WV; and seven grandchildren, Vanessa, Karla, Ashley, Daniel, Anita, Hugh, and Douglas.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, from 1 - 8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, and again on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon at the Windsor Heights Church of God. Entombment will be at Parkview Memorial Gardens in Wheeling.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Village of Windsor Heights Playground Fund, or the Windsor Heights Church of God.
