BASEBALL: River Defeats Magnolia, 6-4

NEW MARTINSVILLE - River gave new coach Mark Romick his first baseball victory with a 6-4 triumph against Magnolia on Tuesday in high school baseball action.

Chad Isaly had a triple and drove in a run for the Pilots (1-1). Kam Brown had two singles and a sacrifice fly and Craig Hupp singled, doubled, and drove in two. Eric Dierkes also enjoyed a multi-hit game with a pair of singles.

Kyle Elliott hit a double and brought two in for the Blue Eagles (4-1), who had their season-opening four-game winning streak snapped.
