Prep Softball: Irish Sweep Conotton Valley

WHEELING - Hannah Absalom threw a perfect game and Morgan DeLuca hit three home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in 10 as St. John swept a doubleheader with Conotton Valley by scores of 14-0 and 14-2 in high school softball action Saturday on Field 1 of the I-470 Complex.

Of the 15 outs she recorded, Absalom struck out 13 with the other two being a couple of ground balls as the Irish rolled in the first game. She has 71 strikeouts and an 0.00 ERA for the season.

DeLuca hit a pair of home runs, while Natalie Cervelli singled and added two RBI.

Kyle Falcone made her first start in the second game and struck out one and gave up two hits before giving way to Caitlyn Sliva in the third inning.

Katie Coppa had three doubles and drove in two, while DeLuca doubled and hit a grand slam. Sliva hit a pair of singles, homered, and drove in two. Syndey Helms singled, doubled and added two RBI.

Kasey Riechman doubled and Erica Hoopingamer singled and drove in both runs for the Rockets.
