RICHMOND - Edison and East Liverpool split in a dual meet. The Edison girls came out victorious while Potters boys prevailed.
The highlight came in a head-to-head competition between Edison's J.D. Howell and East Liverpool's Shea Long in the high jump. Each cleared 6-feet for the first time in their careers, and the competition required extra jumps to decide a victor. In the extra jumps Howell converted a second attempt at 6-0 for a victory.
East Liverpool's Boyer also won to events and was part of a winning relay. On the girls' side, Edison's Katelyn Pollock won three individual events, remaining undefeated in the high jump this season.
East Liverpool pulled out a victory in the final event, the 1,600-meter relay.
