AMOS, Clifford E., 78, of Jefferson, Pa., and formerly of Wind Ridge, Pa., died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in WVU Hospitals, Inc., (Ruby Memorial), Morgantown, W.Va., after a six week cancer related illness.
He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Amos was a self-employed independent truck driver for over 45 years.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo (Jodi) McCardle Amos of Waynesburg; children, Eric (Lorri) Amos of Wind Ridge, Pa., Sharon and Leigh Ann Amos, and Laura Grim all of Waynesburg, Regina Amos of Wind Ridge (Ryerson Station), Alexander Amos of Carmichaels; special friend, Lucretia Ealy (mother of Alexander) of Carmichaels; four grandchildren, Gina Mc-Diffitt, Travis McFadden, Clinton Amos and Andrew Grim; two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Haven Statler.
Deceased are his parents, George (Pete) and Wilma Toland Amos; three brothers, Glenn,Wesley (Jr.), and Carl Amos.
Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, W.Va. Graveside military rites will be accorded by representatives of the U.S. Marine Corps and the American Legion Post 330, VFW Post 4793 and DAV Post 123, all of Waynesburg.
