Tyler Consolidated, Paden City Students Are Honored

Scores of top students at Tyler Consolidated and Paden City high schools were honored during the annual Peoples Bank Academic Awards Ceremony last week, with special recognition for 10 who were, in a way, perfect during their last eight years in public schools.

Held last week at Tyler Consolidated High School, the event recognized students in grades 9-12 who earned the best grades in their classes during the school year. A similar ceremony for those in grades 5-8 was held previously.

Singled out for special honors were 10 seniors at the two schools whose grades had qualified them for annual honors every year from fifth grade onward. Those students' names were engraved on plaques that will hang in their high schools.
