COLEMAN, Dorothy Pauline Walton, born December 3, 1924, wife of Robert Charles "Bob" Coleman of Moundsville, WV, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Park Health, St. Clairsville Ohio.

She was born December 3, 1924, in Greentree, PA, a daughter of Charles Edward Walton and Elizabeth Hoyt Walton. She was an active member of the McMechen-Benwood United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and sang in the church choir for nearly her entire adult life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Eva (Charles) Knight, Ruth (Sammy) Wenneworth, Irene (John) Paluch; and a brother, Charles E. (Sonny) Walton.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years; and her three daughters, Elizabeth (John, [deceased) Mencer, Martha (Angus) MacFadyen, Nancy (Richard) Perry; five grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, one great- great-grandson and a loving extended family.

Among many activities enjoyed by Bob and Dorothy were bowling, square dancing, camping, singing in the choir (where Bob and Dorothy first met) and tending her garden.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St., McMechen, where services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Rev. April Forkey officiating.
