Paula Przelenski

PRZELENSKI, Paula Henrietta Mahulak "Mrs P," 56, of Wheeling, WV, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling after fighting a long and courageous 20-month battle with various illnesses.

She was born on October 16, 1956 in Bellaire, OH the daughter of the late Henry and Adelaine P. Orlando Mahulak.

Paula was a graduate of Bellaire High School in 1975 and a graduate of Ohio University in Athens, OH in 1979. She also was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Wheeling, WV.

She was a teacher of 30 years within the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, most recently at Bishop Donahue High School in McMechen, WV. Her teaching career also included years at Wheeling Catholic Elementary, St. Vincent's, St. Alphonsus, and Corpus Christi. She was an avid reader and loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She actually had the privilege of meeting Quarterback Ben Rothlisberger. She was involved with the Ohio Valley Jaycees for years and was past President of the Wheeling Jaycees. She was in charge of all the sacraments of the schools she worked with, and taught religion, history, government and civics.

Paula had a great love for all the students that she taught, taking an interest in each and every one of their lives, and will fondly be remembered as, "Mrs. P".

Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Bart Allen Przelenski; her son, Jonathan H. Przelenski, of Wheeling; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and John "Gene" Przelenski; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terri Phillips, John E. (Tammy) Przelenski , Becky (Randy) Forney; Christine (Jim) Rudol; her nieces and nephews, Kyle (Brittany) Przelenski, Alexandra Przelenski, Sophie and Andrew Rudol and her special companion, her dog, Miley.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling. Funeral Liturgy with the Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Wheeling with Monsignor Eugene Ostrowski as celebrant. Interment in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Christian Wake Services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paula Przelenski fund, c/o Wesbanco Bank, 1 Bank Plaza, Wheeling, WV 26003.
