Stanley Marchlenski

MARCHLENSKI, Stanley Patrick "Tunney," 88, of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Columbus, OH, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Liza's Place, Wheeling.

Born in Wheeling, WV, on March 13, 1925, Stanley was the son of the late John and Anelia Wiszniewski Marchlenski.

He was a Catholic by Faith, retired engineer at the Newark Air Force Base where he was proud of five separate patents that he invented, a member of the first graduating class at Wheeling Jesuit College, a member of the WWII Memorial Foundation which is located at the former St. Ladislaus Church Yard, great inventor and avid reader who loved all animals and his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Marchlenski, Helen Malantinsky and Jane Zingo; nine brothers, Pete, Joseph, Harry, Chester, Louis, John, Frank, Edward and Richard Marchlenski; four nieces and nephews, Luella Edge, Frank Marchlenski, Carole Fuscaldo and Robert Malatinsky.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, Florence Schua, Jeanette Akers, Sharon Leonard, Judy Burdette, Paul (Peggy) Marchlenski, Robert Marchlenski, Philip (Janet) Marchlenski, Marie Thompson, L. Thomas (Judy) Marchlen, Susan Marchlen, Linda (Richard) Matheny, Miriam (Dino) Deinhardt, Sandra (Larry) Oliver, Mick (Cathy) Zingo, Tim (Bernice) Zingo, Dave (Mary) Zingo, Jeff (Sandy) Zingo, Paula Jim) Carenbauer, Cindy (Mike) Perring, Joe (Sharon) Marchlenski, John (Terry) Marchlenski, Gary Marchlenski, Teresa Schraeder, Kenneth Marchlenski, Tracy (Michael) McKillips, Mechelle Mitchell and Mary Kay (Thadd) Obecny; a very special friend, D.J (Lacey) Priest, who took care of Stanley by being there whenever he was needed for anything; and best friend Tom Grim.

Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling WV on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling with Rev. Frank O'Kruta serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
