BAYSAL, Erdogan Y., M.D., 81 of Moundsville, W.Va., died Saturday, June 8, 2013, in Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville.
Dr. Baysal was born January 3, 1932, in Konya, Turkey, the son of the late Mustafa and Ferida Sudor Baysal.
He was a retired self-employed physician and a veteran of the Turkish Army and the United States Army Reverse where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. Baysal was also a member of the American Medical Association, Marshall Union Masonic Lodge #8, the Osiris Temple and a former member of the Moundsville Lions Club.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Evelyn M. (Davies) Baysal; two sons, Gregory Scott Baysal, of St. Petersburg, FL and Rick Baysal, of Moundsville; and a grandson, Derrick Erdogan Baysal and his wife Maunie of Florida; and two special young men who helped take care of Dr. Baysal, Mark Wilson and Eric McElfresh.
Friends received from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Halcyon Hills Memorial Chapel, with Rev. John Morrison officiating.
The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military services.
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
