ELKINS - Ryan Walton doubled, singled and plated a run Saturday, but it wasn't enough as Moundsville Post 3 wrapped up action in the Pizza Hut Hillbilly Hardball Classic with a 7-5 loss to Beach Creek.

Shane Wellman doubled and singled for Post 3, while Mitchell French singled and had an RBI and Mark Walker doubled.

Park's Pugh scores

TD in all-star loss

CHARLESTON - Wheeling Park's Quashad Pugh returned an interception 82 yards for a touchdown, but it wasn't enough as the North fell to the South, 43-14, in the West Virginia North-South All-Star Football game on Saturday night at the University of Charleston's Laidley Field.

Woodrow Wilson's Andrew Johnson and Wahama's Trenton Gibbs combined to throw for 290 yards for the South, which outscored the North 29-0 during the second half.
