FRANCIS, John Clyde, 87, of West Alexander, Pa., died at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013.
Mr. Francis was a member of the West Alexander United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Francis retired from Columbia Gas Corp. (Mountaineer Gas) in Wheeling, W.Va., in 1990.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine White Francis; five daughters, Dorothy Thomas of West Alexander, Sandra Brownlee of Claysville, Carolyn Francis of Arlington, Va., Mary Ann Danley of West Finley and Betty Francis of Canonsburg; two sons, John Francis of West Alexander, Mark Francis of Leesburg, Va.; nine grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren; a brother, George Francis of Weirton, W.Va.; a sister, Joyce Orzolek of Wheeling, W.Va.
At the request of the deceased and family there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in the West Alexander United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Grimes officiating.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to either, the West Alexander United Methodist Church, the West Alexander American Legion Post 656 or the West Alexander V.F.D.
