BURNSIDE, Ronald Eugene, age 81, of New Martinsville, WV departed this life on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Wheeling Hospital Medical Park, Wheeling, WV, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 2, 1931 in Wellsburg, WV, the son of the late Everett C. and Mae Marie Fulton Burnside.

Ron can be remembered for his love for family and always being willing to share a hug with family and friends; also for the many bowls of popcorn he popped for them.

The grandchildren will remember him peeling an apple for them and always taking the "guts" out; also for his dry sense of humor, when least expected.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Francis, Frank, Irvin, and Leo Burnside; and a sister, Thelma Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Frances Owens Burnside; three sons, Ronald E., Jr. (Darlene) Burnside of Great Falls, MT, John (Rita) Burnside of Terra Alta, WV, and Gary (Rebecca) Burnside of Paden City, WV; three daughters, Lenora Bouscher of Columbus, OH, Debora Wyke of Parkersburg, WV, Carol (Donnie) Schmidt of Paden City; three stepdaughters, Cathy (Bud) Williams of Bridgeville, PA, Carla (Sven) Rabel of New Martinsville, and Vicki (Adam) Forrester of Alma, WV; a step-son, Donnie Owens, Jr. of New Martinsville; three sisters, Juanita (Sonny) Buchanan of Weirton, WV, Dottie Healy of Huntingdon, MD, Lil Fambach of Clayton, DE, eight grandchildren; Ryan Burnside, Christine (Justin) Patterson, Paul Mowrey, Sam Mowrey, Jason (Jessie) Wyke, Jeff (Hannah) Wyke, Jennifer Wyke, and Kurt (Nici) Jones; three great-grandchildren, Shay Wyke, Rachelle Wyke, and Mia Jones; and numerous step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
