BLAKE, Garen "Gary" L., 69, of Moundsville died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 12, 1944, in Glen Dale, son of Hilda Wellman Blake of Moundsville and the late I. B. Blake.

He was a retired employee from Allied Chemical, Olin Chemical, Hanlin Chemical and Ohio Valley Regional Transportation Authority. Gary also enjoyed NASCAR, playing cards, and all sports.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two nieces, Kathy Mason and Beverly Campbell Snezik; one nephew, Greg Blake; and a brother-in-law, Chalmer "Bud" Campbell.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife, of 50 years, Wanda Campbell Blake; two daughters, Crystal (Greg) Thomas and Tami (Dave) Scollick; two granddaughters, who were his pride and joy, Shayla and Blake Scollick, all of Moundsville; two brothers, Robert Blake of Weirton and Ivan Blake of Cameron; four sisters, Daunetta Fromhart, Becky Geraud, and Barbara Mason, all of Moundsville, and Judy McIntyre of Akron, OH; and special friends, Helen and Tyke Allen.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating.

Entombment in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum.
