MEYER, Lola Jean Rine, 67, died September 14, 2012.
She had been a resident of Dodge City, Kansas, for more than 30 years.
She was born on September 7,1945 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of Albert T. and birth mother Anna Clara (Klug) Rine.
She graduated from Triadelphia High School and the Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse in Dodge City with Family Care Clinic.
Lola loved playing the piano, camping, gardening, traveling and especially spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in Dodge City, and the Altar Society.
She married Ronald Meyer on May 27, 2006 who died on March 29, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her father, Albert T. and birth mother, Anna Clara (Klug) Rine; a brother, William Rine; a sister, Mary Ruth Teufel; and a great-granddaughter.
Lola is survived by her mother, Clara Rine of Wheeling; a daughter, Heather (Carlos) Estrada of Dodge City; son, Christopher (Teresa) Schmalz of Milwaukee; brothers, Richard (Pat) Rine of Wheeling and Thomas (Margaret) Rine of Roanoke, VA, sister-in-law, Mary Lou Rine of Wheeling, stepson, Chris, step- daughters, Jan and Kelly all of Kansas; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Lola in Wheeling will be Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow service.
