George Pack

PACK, George F. Jr., 87, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, August 5, 2013, in Belmont Community Hospital, Acuity Healthcare, Bellaire, OH.

He was born October 8, 1925, in Wheeling, a son of the late George F. and Rose Irene (Brandfass) Pack, Sr.

George was a retired Floor Machinist at Blaw Knox Rolls with 34 years of service, a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Wheeling, and a Navy veteran of WWII.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald F. Pack Sr. and Cecil L. Pack.

Surviving is his loving wife, Joan R. (Klettner) Pack; four children, Janet R. Jaquay and her husband Frederick of Wheeling; George F. Pack III and his wife Barbara of Hastings, MN, Edward M. Pack of Wheeling, Timothy L. Pack and his wife Diane of Powhatan Point, OH; one sister, Mary Louise Fanning of Wheeling; one brother, William "Bill" Pack and his wife Judy of Wheeling; grandchildren, Todd Jaquay, Brian (Jamie) Jaquay of Wheeling, Ty (Lindsey) Jaquay of Morgantown, WV, Theresa (Jerry) Leyk of Hastings, MN, Andrea Pack, Brittney (Donald) Fletcher, Kristen Pack, all of Wheeling; step-grandchildren, Ashley Strama and Anthony Ham of Powhatan Point; great- grandchildren, Gage, Lea, Landon and Stryker Jaquay of Wheeling and Ann Rose Leyk of Hastings, MN; step -great-grandchild, Nathan Shayne Myers of Wheeling.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, with Rev. Gary Naegele and Monsignor Bakhos Chidiac as celebrants.

Entombment with military honors in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
