PRINCIPE, Rocky Louis, 67, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Santa Rafael Nursing Home in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Rocky was born on May 11, 1946, in Wheeling, WV to the late Jennie Tassone and William A. Principe, Sr.
He attended Cathedral Grade and Central Catholic High Schools and graduated from Wheeling High School. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University with a major in Communications (Radio & TV). During the 1970s and mid-80s Rocky, known as the "Hit Man," worked as a Disc Jockey for several radio stations in southern California. Later on he and his family moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas where he retired after completing 15 years of service with the Hobby Lobby. He never gave up his love for his music career as he continued to work weekends as a DJ at the Rock and Bowling Alley in Hot Springs.
Surviving are his older brothers, Bill and Fred Principe; children from his first marriage, James and Kimberly; children from his second marriage, Rocky, Jr. and Melissa; and several grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the memorial service to be held at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Bishop's Chapel, 1685 National Road, Wheeling, WV on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Father Shoda performing Mass and the entombment service.
